Managing Partners

Richard Wong, CGA

A former employee of the Canada Revenue Agency, Richard obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1991. Prior to R&D Tax Services, Richard was the corporate controller of Revelstoke Home Centers, a large chain of retail home improvement stores across Western Canada. In 1993, Richard left the retailing sector to start R&D Tax Services solely for the purpose of helping companies recover SR&ED tax credits

Richard is highly skilled at identifying the entire cost structure associated with a project thereby maximizing the dollar value of an associated SR&ED claim. He has a deep understanding of the Income Tax Act of Canada as it pertains to the SR&ED Program and excels at documenting the project costing in a format which is readily accepted by the CRA. He personally prepares and files the requisite taxation forms and amends the corporate tax returns for each submission. To date, Richard has completed more than 500 successful SR&ED claims for clients in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. Richard has a stellar reputation across Canada as an expert SR&ED specialist and is proud that most of the company’s new clients are referrals from satisfied existing clients and referrals from other accountants!

Randal Aulis, B.Sc.

Randal obtained his Honours Science Degree from the University of Waterloo in 1986. He then spent over 8 years employed by a major mining company where he was involved with, and reported on, a variety of research and exploration related projects. Since 1994 Randal has been focused solely on the task of preparing technical reports for claimants to the Canada Revenue Agency’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development program. His extensive experience over this period has seen him successfully obtain refunds for over 600 claims in virtually every field of industry. Randal has interviewed hundreds of company executives and personnel involved with their company's research and development efforts, in order to extract the information needed to provide the clearest and most successful SR&ED claims possible

Paul Moore, B.Sc.

Paul obtained his Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Calgary in 1992. Paul spent the first eight years of his professional career assisting in the development of the Information Technology backbone used by a retail chain to integrate its forty-plus locations across Western Canada. In this high-pressure environment, Paul was tasked with authoring significant pieces of a corporate operations manual and with creating a related in-house training program.

A seasoned technical writer, Paul has been helping companies discover their SR&ED eligibility since joining R&D Tax Services in 2000. He has authored over one hundred SR&ED technical reports - many of them the recipient of high praise from the CRA for their clarity and completeness

Paul is comfortable serving a diverse cross-section of Canadian industry. He prides himself on customer service and professional integrity.

Our Associates

Heather Posgate, B. Eng. Mgmt.

Heather obtained her Engineering Degree from McMaster University in 1995 and is a rising star on the R&D Tax Services team. Her years of experience in the manufacturing sector make her an important resource in a variety of areas including mechanical design, chemical processing, plastics, textiles and packaging. By combining her knowledge of the SR&ED program and her technical background with her good listening skills and investigative approach, she is able to quickly identify qualifying projects and to prepare effective technical reports that are the basis of a successful SR&ED submission.

Carol Senger, B. Ed.

Carol obtained her Bachelor of Education Degree from Simon Fraser University in 1995 and has worked with R&D Tax Services since 1998. Carol’s primary responsibilities involve administration and assisting our team to ensure our clients' SR&ED refund claims are processed in the smoothest, quickest, and most efficient manner.
